Rather predictable result in Luzern where seventh rankedSwiss Central (11-8) defeated 10th ranked Bernex (6-14) 72-54 on Saturday. Swiss Central had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Jermale Jones (185-1986, college: Tuskegee) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Belgian center Stan Leemans (203-1992) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Cameroonian forward Patrick Ngueukam (200-1996) who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Gregory Mbeng (202-2001) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swiss Central moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Wallabies. Loser Bernex dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with CNBS. Swiss Central will meet at home Winterthur (#8) in the next round. Bernex will have a break next round.
