There was a surprise result when tenth rankedHonved (11-14) edged higher ranked DEAC (12-13) in Debrecen 75-73 on Saturday. American guard Isiah Brown (188-1997, college: Weber St., agency: Worldwide SM) nailed 21 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Andre Wesson (198-1997, college: Ohio St., agency: Players Group) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds. Honved's coach Zlatko Jovanovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Serbian swingman Djordje Drenovac (200-1992) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands guard Deon Edwin (192-1992, college: Kent St.) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for DEAC in the defeat. Four DEAC players scored in double figures. Honved moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. DEAC lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Sopron KC.
