Sanogo's 28 points give him Player of the Week award

24-year old Mali center Adama Sanogo (206-C-2002) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Hapoel Holon and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had the game-high 28 points adding four rebounds for H.Holon in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Spartak (1-1) 86-84. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Hapoel Holon is placed at 2nd position in Basketball Champions League. H.Holon is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. Sanogo turned to be Hapoel Holon's top player in his first season with the team.

Second best performed player last round was Michael Forrest (185-SG-1999) of top-ranked Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB. He is American guard in his 2nd season at Murcia. In the last game Forrest recorded an impressive 25 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led UCAM to another comfortable win 86-67 over Bamberg (0-2) being unquestionably team leader. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Forrest is well-known at Murcia and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Nick Perkins (203-F/C-1996) of Sabah BK Baku (#4). Perkins scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Perkins' great performance the Sabah lost 83-100 to #1 ranked Trabzonspor. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Perkins has a very solid season. In 2 games in Basketball Champions League he scored 20.5ppg.
