The Serbian players of K.V. Imperial AEL Limassol were much stronger and much better than its opponents and Coach Nikolina Kouzi couldn't stop her opponents or even unblocked her team from the very good defense played by the experienced players of K.V. Imperial AEL Limassol. MVP of the game as in nearly all the games played in the semi finals and finals were the super star Milena Vukicevic (188-F/C-80) who was the main figure in one more game for her team. From a close distance were the ex captain of the Serbian NT Monika Veselovski (183-F-77), Tiana Rus (180-F-75) and Maja Scekic (170-G-87). In general though the girls of AEL showed from the early beginning that they wanted this trophy more than their opponents, the passion and the obsession showed in teh court was more than obvious. On the other hand, the girls of Kouzi mainly due to the lack of experience they stopped playing basketball at an early stage as they got disappointed from the beginning while the deficit was not that big, the lack of experience though let them defenseless and only the foreigners (D'lesha Lloyde (183-F-86, college: Clemson) and Katerina Zohnova (179-G-84) tried to change this icon but the three foreigners of AEK couldn't change the scene against the five of AEL! The final result of 44-60 its mirroring 100% the quality of the game and the quality of the two teams. The quarters of the game were: 11-18, 28-37, 38-47 and 44-60. Top scorers for the two teams were as follows: AEK: D'lesha Lloyde (183-F-86, college: Clemson) 16, Zohnova 15, Athanasiou and Hatzibey 4 each, Kancevic 3 and Nikodemou 2 AEL: Milena Vukicevic 22, Veselovski 15, Rus 13, Scekic 6, Popovic 3, Hatzimina 2 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
