Division B1 Round 12 (Regular Season): ENAD keep a leadership position

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked ENAD as it allowed them to take a leadership position. ENAD defeated 4th ranked Ethniki in Nicosia 76-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ethniki. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Digenis AM. Ethniki at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Just two games before the end of Regular Season and it may be the most important game of the season next round when Ethniki faces Omonia trying to get back on the winning streak. ENAD will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Agiou Nikolaou on the road.
The game in Nicosia supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Digenis AM (10-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Omonia (2-10). Digenis AM did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 61-41. Digenis AM have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with ENAD. Omonia lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with ten games lost. Digenis AM will play against Atlantas (#6) in Paphos in the next round where they are favorite. Omonia will play against Ethniki and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game between sixth ranked Atlantas (4-8) and 8th ranked Ol.Aglantzias (1-11) in Paphos on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Atlantas outscored guests from Nicosia 97-75. Atlantas maintains sixth position with 4-8 record. Ol.Aglantzias lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Atlantas will meet league's second-placed Digenis AM in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ol.Aglantzias will play against Phoenix MJ (#5) and hope to win that game.




Omonia - Digenis AM 41-61

The game in Nicosia supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Digenis AM (10-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Omonia (2-10).
