Vesela's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

21-year old Valentyna Vesela (187-C/F-2005) put on an amazing game in the last round for KP Brno and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
She had a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, while her team lost the game against Brandys (#4, 4-3) 84-92. KP Brno maintains the 6th position in Czech Republic ZBL. KP Brno is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 4th lost game this season out of 7 games. Vesela has many years of experience at KP Brno, through which she has constantly improved. Vesela has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 6.9rpg) and averages solid 66.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Frieda Buehner (186-C/F-2004) of top-ranked ZVVZ USK Praha. She is German in her first season at USK Praha. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.2ppg (#6). She also registered 8.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Katerina Zeithammerova (162-PG-2002) of league's second-best Basket Zabiny Brno. Zeithammerova scored 12 points and passed 9 assists. She was a key player of Zabiny Brno, leading her team to a 105-38 easy win against Slovanka (#10, 0-7). Zabiny Brno started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Zeithammerova turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Zeithammerova has a great season in Czech Republic. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.3apg (best passer).
