Danish Dameligaen round 7 best performance: Caroline Wich

International Caroline Wich (185-C/F-1996) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Skovbakken Bears, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Amager (#4, 3-3) with 20-point margin 95-75. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Skovbakken is placed at 2nd position in Danish Dameligaen. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Skovbakken will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Wich turned to be Skovbakken's top player in her first season with the team. Former Portland State University star has very solid stats this year. Wich is in league's top in points (5th best: 15.0ppg).

The second best player in last round's games was another Skovbakken's star - American Chloe Welch (175-G). Welch had a very good evening with 25 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course together with Wich she helped Skovbakken Bears with another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Amager (#4, 3-3) 95-75. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Skovbakken consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Welch is a newcomer at Skovbakken, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 8.6rpg and 4.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Isabella Palmqvist (181-F-2004) of BK Amager (#4). Palmqvist scored 27 points and passed 4 assists. Despite Palmqvist's great performance the Amager lost 75-95 to #2 ranked Skovbakken. But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Amager needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Palmqvist has a great season in Denmark. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (3rd best).
