Jurcenkova re-signs at Piestanske Cajky

Piestanske Cajky (Extraliga) confirmed in their roster experienced 37-year old ex-international center Anna Jurcenkova (196cm-1985) for new 2023-24 season. Jurcenkova played there last season. In 28 Extraliga games she had 10.7ppg, 7.9rpg, 2.0apg, 1.6spg and 1.1bpg. She helped them to win the Extraliga title. A very impressive season as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Slovakian Extraliga Domestic Player of the Year, Finals MVP and Center of the Year. Jurcenkova also played 8 games in Eurocup where she recorded 7.8ppg, 9.6rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1bpg.
The previous (2021-22) season she played at Zabiny Brno. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and she had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 26 Czech Republic games she averaged 8.0ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.5apg and 1.0bpg in that year. She also played 9 games in Eurocup where she got 7.1ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.0apg, 1.0spg and 1.2bpg in that year. Jurcenkova also played 6 games in EWBL where she got 5.8ppg, 4.5rpg and 2.0apg in that year.
She was also a member of Slovakian international program for some years. Jurcenkova played for Slovakian Senior National Team between 2006 and 2021 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2004.
She also represented Slovakia at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) in Czech Republic six years ago. Her stats at that event were 7 games: 5.6ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.0apg, FGP: 60.0%, FT: 30.0%.
Jurcenkova is quite experienced player. She has played also professionally in Germany (TSV 1880), Greece (Olympiacos), Poland (Arka Gdynia) and Slovakia (Good Angels and Young Angels).
It's very possible she may end her playing career at Piestanske Cajky.
