Meltem Yildizhan

Besiktas JK Istanbul (KBSL) signed 25-year-old international 186cm power forward Meltem Yildizhan for the upcoming season. She spent the last three years at Galatasaray in the KBSL, averaging 5.6ppg, 3.0rpg, and 1.1apg in 25 games last season. Yildizhan helped Galatasaray finish the regular season as the second-best team in the league and reach the league semifinals. She also played 9 games in Eurocup, averaging 2.6ppg and 3.7rpg.
Yildizhan has been a member of the Turkish international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Turkish senior team since 2020 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2016.
She also represented Turkey at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Sopron (Hungary) eight years ago. During this event she scored an average of 10.6 ppg and had 7.1 rpg.
Yildizhan has played ppg for Nesibe.
Among many awards, she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 Honorable Mention back in 2016.
