Sara Roumy (ex San Giovanni) added to the roster of Avenida

Perfumerias Avenida Salamanca (LF Endesa) strengthened their roster with the addition of 22-year-old French 181cm shooting guard Sara Roumy for the 2026-27 season. She is the second foreign player on the team, joining Italian Martina Fassina. Roumy was the top scorer at San Giovanni in the Italian Serie A1, averaging 10.0ppg, 3.1rpg, and 1.2apg in 22 games last season. She also played 8 games in the Eurocup, where she averaged 11.4ppg, 2.0rpg, and 1.8apg. In the 2024-25 season, she played for another Italian team, Faenza Basket Project (Serie A1).
Three years ago, she represented France at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship in Lithuania. Her team won Gold, and she averaged almost 12 points per game.
Roumy has played in Germany (Stars) and France (Centre Federal BB Paris and Landes) as well.
Among many awards, she played in the final of the German League in 2024. She was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-FIBA U20 Women's European Championship Honorable Mention back in 2023.
