Odiase re-signs at H.Tel-Aviv

Hapoel Shlomo Tel-Aviv (Winner League) confirmed in their roster 30-year old American (has also Puerto Rican passport) center Tai Odiase (206cm-109kg-1995, college: UIC) for the upcoming 2026-27 season. He played there last season. In 26 Winner League games, he had 11.7ppg and 4.3rpg. He helped them to make it to the Israeli League final after they ended the regular season as the second-best team. In the 2025-26 season, he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Center of the Year and named to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League First Team. Odiase also played 29 games in the Euroleague, where he recorded 3.5ppg and 1.7rpg, contributing to his team making it to the quarterfinals. The previous (2025) summer, he played at Team Heartfire in the U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.
He is quite an experienced player, having played in ten different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America). Odiase has played professionally in Germany (BG Goettingen and EWE Baskets), Greece, Italy (Brescia), Puerto Rico (Piratas), Spain, Turkey (Bahcesehir), Ukraine (Prometey), Dominican Republic (Mauricio Baez), NBA G League (Greensboro Swarm), and The Basketball Tournament (GCG and Gutter Cats).
He won the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League championship title in 2024.
Odiase graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2018 and is entering his ninth season as a professional player.
