Dutch Basketball League (Dutch Basketball League) History

League status

The Dutch Basketball League is the first-tier professional basketball league in Holland. DBL was established in 1960.
The DBL sits above the Promotiedivisie which effectively forms the second-tier of Dutch basketball.
At the end of regular season, top 6 teams qualify to the play-offs.
Limits of non-Dutch players per team: 7 import players (non-Europeans), 7 Bosman players (with European passport) . Total number of allowed imports and Bosmans is 7.
