Best players of Israeli D1 round 5

American Madison Williams (180-G/F-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 27-year old swingman had the game-high 30 points adding four rebounds and six assists for M.Ramat Gan in her team's victory, helping them to beat M.Haifa (#9, 1-4) 81-73. M.Ramat Gan is placed at 6th position in Israeli D1. M.Ramat Gan is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She turned to be M.Ramat Gan's top player in her first season with the team. The University of Oklahoma graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (5th best: 20.0ppg), rebounds (6th best: 5.2rpg) and averages solid 3.4spg and 41.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Ashley Owusu (183-G-2001) of Elitzur Holon. Owusu impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Bad luck as E.Holon was edged by league's leader H.Jerusalem (#2, 4-0) 83-81. This loss caused E.Holon to drop to 7th position in the standings. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory E.Holon managed to get this year. Owusu is a newcomer at E.Holon and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 10.5rpg and 5.5apg.
