BK Ventspils (LBL) confirmed in their roster 33-year old shooting guard Arturs Ausejs (192cm-89kg-1990) for the new 2024-25 season. He has played there for the last four seasons, helping them reach the semifinals. Ausejs played 37 games in Lat-Est BL, averaging 14.2ppg, 2.9rpg, 3.5apg, and 1.0spg last season. He was a member of the Latvian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2019.
Ausejs has played also in Lithuania (Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys), Russia (Ural Yekaterinburg) and Latvia (Jelgava, Barons Riga, Liepaja, Jurmala and Olaine).
In 2022, his team reached the Latvian Cup final. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Latvian-Estonian Basketball League Honorable Mention in 2022.
