Illya Sydorov (ex Fos-sur-Mer) agreed terms with VEF Riga

Illya Sydorov

DVEF Riga (LBL) added to their roster 28-year old Ukrainian international 186cm point guard Illya Sydorov, agency: Octagon Europe. He already started the season at FOS Provence Basket in French ProB. In 13 games he recorded 4.8ppg, 1.4rpg and 4.6apg.
He has been also a member of the Ukrainian international program for some years. Sydorov has regularly played for the Ukrainian senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2016.
He also represented Ukraine at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers last year. Sydorov's team won Silver and he had over 8 points per game.
Sydorov has played also in Czech Republic (GBA Lions Jindrichuv Hradec) and Ukraine (Khimik and Prometey). His team was regular season runner-up in Latvian-Estonian Basketball League in 2024.
