Experienced Arturs Ausejs (192-SG-1990) had a great game in the last round for BK Ventspils and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 34-year old shooting guard had the game-high 27 points adding seven rebounds and eight assists for Ventspils in his team's victory, helping them to crush Liepaja (5-7) with 20-point margin 101-81. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Ventspils is placed at 10th position in LAT-EST BL. Ventspils is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-7 record. In the team's last game Ausejs had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He has many years of experience at Ventspils, through which he has constantly improved. Ausejs has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.6ppg. Ausejs is in league's top in and averages solid 60.0% FGP and 41.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Nigerian forward Ajiri Ogemuno-Johnson (203-F-1999) of Parnu Sadam. Ogemuno-Johnson impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Parnu was edged by the higher-ranked Rapla (#7, 6-6) 80-78. Parnu is still in a red zone at 12th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Ogemuno-Johnson is a newcomer at Parnu and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Egyptian Omar El-Sheikh (203-C/F-1998) of Tartu Ulikool Maks & Moorits (#4). El-Sheikh scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Tartu, leading his team to a 89-85 win against Keila KK (#15, 0-10). Tartu needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. El-Sheikh has a great season in LAT-EST BL. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.7rpg (4th best).
