LAT-EST BL round 16 best performance: Zac Watson (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Zac Watson (201-F) had an amazing evening in the last round for BK Ventspils, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The player had a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Parnu (#12, 4-8) 95-92. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Ventspils moved-up to the 10th position in LAT-EST BL. Ventspils is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-8 record. In the team's last game Watson had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Ventspils' top player in his first season with the team. Zac Watson averages this season 12.1ppg and 7.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Ukrainian Artem Kovalov (208-F/C-1997) of Keila Coolbet. Kovalov had a very good evening with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Keila C. lost that game 81-102 to the higher-ranked Tartu (#4, 9-4). Keila C. managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Kovalov is a newcomer at Keila C., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.2ppg (#4). He also registered 10.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Finnish forward Okko Jarvi (193-F-1996, agency: Blacktop Management) of Parnu Sadam (#12). Jarvi got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and six assists. Despite Jarvi's great performance the Parnu lost 92-95 to slightly higher-ranked Ventspils (#10, 6-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Parnu not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Jarvi could try to bring Parnu's a little bit higher in the standings. Jarvi has a very solid season. In 12 games in LAT-EST BL he scored 12.3ppg. He also has 4.4rpg, 3.3apg and and 3PT: 40.8%.
