Ukrainian Rostyslav Novitskyi (204-PF-2000) had a great game in the last round for Valmiera Glass/Vidzemes Augstskola and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 29.
The 24-year old power forward had a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Tartu (16-10) 84-69. Valmiera Glass is placed at 4th position in LAT-EST BL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Valmiera Glass will need more victories to improve their 16-10 record. It's Novitskyi's second year at Valmiera Glass and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Rostyslav Novitskyi averages this season 11.9ppg and 7.6rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard MJ Randolph (193-G-1999) of BK Ventspils. Randolph impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course he led Ventspils to another comfortable win 99-82 over slightly higher-ranked Tartu (#5, 16-10) being unquestionably team leader. Ventspils' 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 14-12 record is not bad and everything may still change. Randolph is a newcomer at Ventspils and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. Florida A&M University alumni Randolph played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was Carlos Jurgens (196-G-1998) of TalTech/OPTIBET Tallinn (#10). Jurgens showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of TalTech, leading his team to a 72-70 win against the higher-ranked BK Ogre (#6, 16-11). The chances of TalTech ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 14 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Jurgens could help TalTech to bring them higher in the standings. Jurgens has a very solid season. In 15 games in LAT-EST BL he scored 12.7ppg. He also has 4.4rpg and and 3PT: 40.5%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
