Jocys' 29 points and 9 rebounds give him NKL Player of the Week award

22-year old shooting guard Rokas Jocys (196-SG-2004) had a very impressive game in the last round for BC Silute and receives a Hoops Agents NKL Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had the game-high 29 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Silute in his team's victory, helping them to beat Jurbarkas (#2, 8-1) 79-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Silute maintains the 4th position in Lithuanian NKL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Silute will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. In the team's last game Jocys had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Silute's top player in his first season with the team. Manhattan University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jocys is in league's top in points (4th best: 20.5ppg) and averages solid 67.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Scooter Williams (196-G-2001) of BC Alytus. He is American guard in his first season at Alytus. In the last game Williams recorded an impressive 34 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Alytus cruised to a 101-91 relatively comfortable win over Rytas 2 (#18, 0-10). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Alytus keeps 10th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Williams is a newcomer at Alytus and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.2ppg (#2). He also registered 4.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Alytus' star - guard Sarunas Valunta (192-PG-2000). Valunta showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 9 rebounds and 14 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of BC Alytus, helping his team with a 101-91 win against Rytas 2 (#18, 0-10). Alytus needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 5 lost games. Valunta has a great season in Lithuania. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.4apg (9th best).
