Lotto AZS UMCS Lublin won the 2025-26 Orlen Basket Liga Kobiet championship on Sunday, beating Enea AZS Politechnika Poznan 82-77 in Game 4 to take the best-of-five final series 3-1. It is the club's second national title, three years after their maiden crown in 2023.
Lublin had taken a commanding 2-0 series lead with home victories of 76-68 and 86-71 at Hala MOSiR im. Zdzislawa Niedzieli before Poznan fought back to win Game 3 on their own court and cut the deficit to 2-1. But coach Karol Kowalewski's side closed things out in Game 4 with a composed road performance.
Lublin jumped out to a 26-20 first-quarter lead and took a 42-33 advantage into halftime behind strong inside play. Poznan roared back in the third quarter with a 28-19 surge to close to within a point entering the fourth, but Lublin steadied themselves down the stretch. The visitors outscored the hosts 21-16 in the final period to seal the title on Poznan's home floor.
Robbi Ryan (175-G-1997, college: Arizona St.) led the clincher with a dominant double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds to go with four assists, shooting 6-of-9 from the field and going 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. Markeisha Gatling (196-C-1992, college: NC State) matched her with 18 points on a ruthlessly efficient 9-of-13 shooting, all from inside the arc. Klaudia Wnorowska (185-C-2003), who had been a standout throughout the series, added 13 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
For Poznan, Brittany Brown (173-PG-1995, college: FSU) posted 18 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in a gutsy losing effort. Hannah Hank (188-F-2001, college: Clemson) connected on all three of her three-point attempts and finished with 15 points, while Jessica Carter) had 14 points and five rebounds. But the hosts ultimately could not overcome Lublin's dominant two-point shooting — the visitors connected at a 54 percent clip from inside the arc compared to just 21 percent for Poznan.
