Florida State University strengthened their roster with the addition of 21-year-old Polish 6-3 guard Aga Makurat for the 2026-27 season. The Sierakowice (Poland) native played for the last three years at Vanderbilt University. In 30 games last season, she recorded 3.3ppg and 1.5rpg. Makurat's team ended the regular season as the second-best team in the SEC in 2026 and made it to the NCAA Sweet 16. She was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket Honorable Mention in 2024.
Makurat played also at GTK Gdynia 2nd team between 2020-21, Lider Swarzedz during 2021-22, Enea AZS Politechnika Poznan during 2021-22, and then at Enea AZS Poznan 2nd team during 2022.
Among many awards, she helped her team reach the FIBA U17 Women's Skills Challenge Finals in 2020.
