Markovetskyy's double-double lands him Proliga Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old Ukrainian center Volodymyr Markovetskyy (218-C-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for S.C. Lusitania EXPERT and receives a Hoops Agents Proliga Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 21 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Olhanense (#16, 0-2) with 32-point margin 88-56. Lusitania is placed at 3rd position in Portuguese Proliga. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Lusitania won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Markovetskyy had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Lusitania's top player in his first season with the team. University of San Francisco graduate has very impressive stats this year. Markovetskyy is in league's top in points (7th best: 22.0ppg) and averages solid 3.0bpg,87.5% FGP and 100.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Markus Terry (188-G-1995) of Sampaense Basket. He is American guard in his 2nd season at Sampaense. In the last game Terry recorded an impressive 27 points and 7 assists. It was enough for Sampaense to edge Sangalhos (1-1) by 5 points 85-80. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Terry is well-known at Sampaense and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.0ppg (#4). He also recorded 5.0 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Lusitania's star - guard Sean Evans (190-G-2003). Evans got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and seven assists. He was another key player of S.C. Lusitania EXPERT, helping his team with a 88-56 easy win against Olhanense (#16, 0-2). Lusitania has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Evans also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Evans as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.
