Bailey's 34-point game gives him Player of the Week award

22-year old American guard Justin Bailey (190-G-2004) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Esgueira/Aveiro/OLI and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had the game-high 34 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Esgueira as his team was edged out by the league's best team FC Porto (#1, 3-0) 95-91. Esgueira maintains the 11th position in Portuguese league. They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 3 games and recorded no victories. In the team's last game Bailey had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Esgueira's top player in his first season with the team. University of Georgia graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bailey is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.0ppg. Bailey is in league's top in and averages solid 3.0spg and 53.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ivan Pavicevic (206-C-2002) of Clube Atletico Queluz. He is Serbian center in his first season at Queluz. In the last game Pavicevic recorded an impressive 16 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Queluz to edge Portimonense (0-3) by 4 points 87-83. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Pavicevic is a newcomer at Queluz and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Mason Landdeck (191-G-2003) of Portimonense (#12). Landdeck scored 24 points and passed 10 assists (!!!). Despite Landdeck's great performance the Portimonense lost 83-87 to Queluz (#7, 1-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Landdeck has individually a great season in Portugal. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.7apg (3rd best).
