Costa number one in Portuguese Proliga for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

Guard Pedro Costa (190-G-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Futebol Clube Barreirense, receiving a Hoops Agents Proliga Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, three rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Olhanense (#16, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 91-90. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Barreirense is placed at 12th position in Portuguese Proliga. Barreirense is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-2 record. In the team's last game Costa had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Barreirense's top player in his first season with the team. Pedro Costa has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 22.7ppg) and averages impressive 54.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international guard Sergio Silva (193-G-1996, agency: Promo Sport ID) of league's second-best S.C. Lusitania EXPERT. Silva had a very good evening with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. It was enough for Lusitania to edge Galomar (1-1) 77-75. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Silva is well-known at Lusitania and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Jalen Ware (203-F) of BSA-PSA Sines Santo Andre (#5). Ware scored 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Santo Andre, leading his team to a 72-59 easy win against Maia Basket (#9, 1-1). Santo Andre needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Ware has a great season in Portugal. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (8th best).

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
