Firsova number one in Russian Superleague for round 6

Center Kira Firsova (191-C-2009) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked MBA Moscow, receiving a Hoops Agents Superleague Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 17-year old player had a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds, while her team crushed Samara-2 (#7, 2-3) with 24-point margin 77-53. MBA is placed at 2nd position in Russian Superleague. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. MBA will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Firsova has many years of experience at MBA, through which she has constantly improved. Kira Firsova has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 9.4rpg) and averages impressive 1.6bpg and 55.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Darya Andryushkina (187-F-2000) of league's leader Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Andryushkina had a very good evening with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Of course Metallurg MGN cruised to a 69-58 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Kazanochka (#10, 1-4). Of course Metallurg MGN still keep the league's top spot. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 5 games without any defeat. Andryushkina is well-known at Metallurg MGN and is a proven leader in her second season with the team. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#1). She also registered 7.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Anastasiia Odintcova (184-F-2003) of Kazanochka Kazan (#10). Odintcova scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Odintcova's great performance the Kazanochka lost 58-69 to the league's current leader Metallurg MGN (#1, 5-0). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Kazanochka can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Odintcova has a very solid season. In 4 games in Russia she scored 6.0ppg.
