The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Leche Rio Breogan (9-3) in Castellon on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Castello (8-4) 86-70. It was a great evening for Cameroonian forward Arnaud-William Adala Moto (198-93, college: Towson, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Naturalized Dominican power forward Juan Jose Garcia (201-89, agency: Duran International) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American-Italian guard Adam Sollazzo (198-90, college: ETSU) with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Castello is looking forward to face Leyma Basquet (#6) in Coruna in the next round. Leche Rio Breogan will play on the road against Almansa (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Lugo. HLA Alicante (7-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging Leche Rio Breogan (9-3) 85-82 on Sunday evening. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Justin Pitts (178-94, college: NW Missouri St.) who led the winners and scored 17 points. Txemi Urtasun accounted for 20 points. Danish center Kevin Larsen (207-93, college: GWU) came up with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for Leche Rio Breogan in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. HLA Alicante will play against Palencia (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Leche Rio Breogan will play against Almansa (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Valladolid between Granada and Valladolid. Granada (8-4) got a very close victory on the road over Valladolid (4-8). Granada managed to escape with a 1-point win 87-86 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The best player for the winners was Christian Diaz who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Reed Timmer who recorded 20 points and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Granada will meet at home Oviedo (#5) in the next round. Valladolid will play against Palma in S'Arenal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Nineteenth-ranked Real Canoe (1-10) gave a tough game to Caceres Basket (6-3) on Sunday. Caceres Basket managed to secure only one-point victory 81-80. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for Raven Barber who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 6 rebounds. Real Canoe's coach Jose Rey rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Caceres Basket will face Girona (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Real Canoe will play against Ourense (#14) and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 3: Coruna lost to Granada on the opponent's court 65-74. Coruna managed to outperform Almansa in a home game 89-73. Palma managed to beat Palencia on the road 77-73. Real Murcia was defeated by Melilla on its own court 65-68. Ourense was beaten by Girona in a road game 89-77. Melilla won against Girona at home 95-93. Lleida unfortunately lost to Burgos on the opponent's court 81-91. Alicante rolled over Valladolid in a home game 108-69. Palencia was defeated by Almansa on the road 78-82. Oviedo smashed Palma on its own court 105-67.



Castello - Breogan 86-70

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
