POSTED BY: Eurobasket News

Kecioren Baglum has agreed terms with experienced 36-year-old American center Eric Buckner (208cm-1990, college: Georgia State) for the new 2026-27 season. He was the top rebounder at Final Spor in the Turkish TBL league last season, where in 11 games he had 13.8ppg, 9.0rpg, 2.5apg, and 1.2bpg. TB2L will be a better match for him, and he can expect more playing time. In addition to his time in Turkey, he has also played for Urunday Universitario Montevideo (LUB) in the Uruguayan league and Flamengo (NBB) in the Brazilian league.
Buckner has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
He is a highly experienced player. Buckner's career has taken him to four different continents, playing in eleven countries. He has played professionally in Brazil, China (Bucknernan), France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket, Monaco, and Chalon/Saor), Greece (Aris), Kazakhstan (Astana), Lithuania (Wolves), Russia (Zenit), Uruguay, Turkey (Turk Telekom, Usak, Ormanspor, Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi, and Bordo), South Korea (Mobis Phoebus), and The Basketball Tournament (Team KBC). His team reached the Super 8 Semifinals in 2026.
He was voted to the French ProA All-Star Game in 2020. It's very possible that he may end his playing career between Kecioren.
Buckner graduated from Georgia State in 2012 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season as a professional player. He played also for Gulf Coast State College for one year.

Kecioren Baglum roster for 2026-27:

Eric Buckner
Merthan Mutlu
Mustafa Kircali
