Watkins number one in Turkish TBL for round 7

American Point guard Diante Watkins (175-PG-1990) put on an amazing game in the last round for OGM Ormanspor Genclik Ankara, receiving a Hoops Agents TBL Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 36-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, six rebounds and nine assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Gaziantep (#6, 4-3) 89-85. Ormanspor is placed at 12th position in Turkish TBL. Ormanspor is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Watkins had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Ormanspor's top player in his first season with the team. Former Robert Morris University Illinois star has very solid stats this year. Watkins is in league's top in points (4th best: 21.3ppg), assists (2nd best: 7.8apg) and averages impressive 67.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Inanc Hotamis (203-PF-2001) of MKE Ankaragucu Basketbol. Hotamis had a very good evening with 34 points and 9 rebounds. It was enough for Ankaragucu to edge the lower-ranked Konya BBSK (#16, 1-5) 93-88. This victory allowed Ankaragucu to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Hotamis is a newcomer at Ankaragucu, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Ankaragucu's star - Georgian guard Jacob Pullen (183-PG-1989, agency: AltusBasket). Pullen scored 28 points and passed 7 assists. He was another key player of MKE Ankaragucu Basketbol, helping his team with a 93-88 win against the lower-ranked Konya BBSK (#16, 1-5). Ankaragucu needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Pullen has a great season in Turkey. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.5ppg (best scorer).
