Isaiah Washington gets MVP of the Week award for Turkish TBL (by Hoops Agents)

American-Central African Isaiah Washington (185-G-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Goztepe Izmir and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents TBL Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 28-year old guard had a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Balikesir BBS (#16, 1-4) 78-67. Goztepe is placed at 2nd position in Turkish TBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Goztepe already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Washington had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He turned to be Goztepe's top player in his first season with the team. Long Beach State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Washington is in league's top in points (4th best: 20.0ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Maurice Watson (178-PG-1993) of TED Kolejliler Ankara. Watson impressed basketball fans with 35 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for TED Ankara to edge the lower-ranked Kecioren (#17, 1-4) by 5 points 95-90. This victory allowed TED Ankara to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Watson is a newcomer at TED Ankara and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Kahlil Dukes (183-G-1995) of Kecioren Baglum (#17). Dukes scored 21 points and passed 10 assists (!!!). Despite Dukes' great performance the Kecioren lost 90-95 to the higher-ranked TED Ankara (#8, 2-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Dukes has individually a great season in Turkey. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (7th best) and assists with 7.2apg (7th best).
