Naturalized Canadian Forward Maurice Walker (208-F-1991) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Reading Rockets, receiving a Hoops Agents BCB Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 35-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed Loughborough (#8, 2-3) with 22-point margin 94-72. Rockets is placed at 2nd position in British BCB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Reading already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Walker had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Rockets's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Minnesota star has very solid stats this year. Walker is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.2rpg) and averages impressive 1.4bpg and 70.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young David Ulph (198-F-1993) of Yorkshire Dragons. Ulph had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Dragons was edged by league's leader Hemel Storm (#1, 5-0) 94-91. This loss caused Yorkshire D. to drop to 13th position in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Dragons managed to get this year. Ulph is well-known at Yorkshire D. and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Jordan Spencer (188-G-1994) of Milton Keynes Breakers (#5). Spencer showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 14 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Breakers, leading his team to a 102-101 win against the lower-ranked Nottingham H. (#9, 2-5). Milton Keynes is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 4-1 record is not that bad... Spencer has a great season in United Kingdom. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 9.6apg (2nd best).
