31-year old guard Luke Nelson (191-G-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Manchester Basketball and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
He got a double-double of 19 points and 11 assists, while his team edged out Bristol Flyers (#4, 4-4) 78-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Manchester is placed at 3rd position in British league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Manchester will need more victories to improve their 5-4 record. Nelson turned to be Manchester's top player in his first season with the team. University of California - Irvine graduate has very impressive stats this year. Nelson is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 6.1apg).

Second best performed player last round was Pat Robinson III (190-G-1999, agency: Bell Basketball) of top-ranked Liverpool Basketball. He is American guard in his first season at Liverpool. In the last game Robinson III recorded an impressive 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Liverpool lost that game 85-91 to slightly lower-ranked Manchester (#3, 5-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Liverpool still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Robinson III is a newcomer at Liverpool and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.8ppg (#1). He also recorded 3.5 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Manchester's star - guard Keon Thompson (185-G-2003). Thompson scored 25 points. He was another key player of Manchester Basketball, helping his team with a 91-85 win against #1 ranked Liverpool. Manchester needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Thompson has a great season in United Kingdom. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.0ppg (5th best).

4. Trevond Barnes (206-F/C-1997) of Newcastle E. - 18 points and 9 rebounds
