Very significant wasAEL 's (#2, 6-1) victory against one of their biggest challengers Etha (4-3) 71-52 . The game was mostly controlled by AEL. Etha was better in third quarter 18-17 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by the former international swingman Petra Orlovic (178-1990) who scored that evening 18 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Tijana Raca (182-1997, college: Wyoming) supported her with 19 points. AEL's coach Michalis Kounounis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Paris Mullins (188-2001, college: Norfolk St.) did not help to save the game for Etha . Forward Kyriaki Taylor (190-2000, college: Florida SW) added 4 points and 14 rebounds for the hosts. AEL have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 6-1 record having just three points less than leader Anagennises. Newly promoted Etha keeps the third place with three games lost.
