There was no surprise in Nicosia where 5th rankedParalimni (4-5) was crushed by second ranked Keravnos (8-1) 115-85 on Saturday. The game without a history. Keravnos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They were well out of reach of Paralimni shooting 71.4 percent from the field. They outrebounded Paralimni 31-20 including a 22-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Keravnos shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. The game was also dominated by American players. Guard Landrius Horton (193-1998, college: Columbus St.) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and center Travis Taylor (203-1990, college: Xavier, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Brandon Davis (185, college: Southern) responded with 16 points and 6 assists and forward Jeameril Wilson (203, college: Loyola, IL) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Keravnos have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 8-1 record behind leader AEK Larnaca. Loser Paralimni keeps the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with APOEL.
