Another exciting game was played in Nicosia between seventh rankedApollon and 4th placed Anorthosis where Apollon (4-7) won against Anorthosis (6-6) on the road with 17-point difference 100-83 . Anorthosis was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 60-36 second half run of Apollon . Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Apollon brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jonathan Cisse (185-2001, college: Texas Southern) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists. His fellow American import point guard Javaunte Hawkins (180-2000, college: FIU) contributed with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American center Derek Culver (208-1998, college: WVU) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and Bahamas forward Kentwan Smith (203-1991, college: Stetson) added 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Anorthosis.
