An exciting game was played in Nicosia. Third rankedEtha faced one of their biggest challengers APOP . Host Etha (7-4) smashed guests from Paphou (4-7) 78-45 . The game was mostly controlled by Etha. APOP managed to win second period 18-17 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Etha dominated on the defensive end, holding APOP to just 3 points in first quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to APOP 's 32. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Ioanna Kyprianou (168-2003) who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Latvian Vanesa Jasa (180-2003) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Mariah Miller (182-1998, college: CSU) who recorded 28 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Panagiota Themistokleous (185-2000) added 9 points and 15 rebounds respectively. Newly promoted Etha maintains third position with 7-4 record having just three points less than leader Anagennises. APOP at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost.
