Regular Season Round 1: Digenis - Paralimni 87-84

Digenis used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Paralimni 87-84 on Sunday night. American guard Kieffer Punter (196-1999, college: Troy) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Nigerian-Greek power forward Nikolaos Okekuoyen (213-1997) chipped in 15 points and 19 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Tre Williams (203-2000, college: Duquesne) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import guard Caleb Asberry (191-2000, college: OK State) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Five Paralimni players scored in double figures. Digenis will meet Anorthosis in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Paralimni will play against Keravnos in Nicosia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
