The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeatedAEL (5-1) in Limassol on Tuesday night. Hosts were rolled over by third ranked Anagennises (4-1) 69-49 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of AEL. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Anagennises dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to AEL 's 26. They outrebounded AEL 49-35 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American swingman Valerie Huerta (176, college: CWU, agency: Crossover Management) who led her team to a victory with 26 points and 5 assists. Slovakian center Vanda Kristlova (183-2003) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Anagennises' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Dontavia Waggoner (183-2001, college: Boston Coll.) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and the former international guard Andriana Kasapi (175-2000, college: BENUM) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for AEL. Anagennises have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Defending champion AEL still keeps top position with one game lost.
