ECOMMBX BL top team -AEK Larnaca (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they beat seventh ranked Apollon (3-5) in Limassol 96-80 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Apollon. AEK Larnaca dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Apollon 's 28. They outrebounded Apollon 43-24 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard TaLon Cooper (193-1999, college: S.Carolina) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and forward Jayveous McKinnis (201-1999, college: Ole Miss, agency: JCK Sports Group) chipped in 20 points and 12 rebounds. Four AEK Larnaca players scored in double figures. AEK Larnaca's coach Christophoros Livadiotis used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Gyasi Powell (190-2002, college: Lipscomb) with 25 points and point guard Jamarii Thomas (183-2002, college: S.Carolina) scored 22 points and 5 assists. AEK Larnaca have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-0 record. Apollon at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Anorthosis.
