There was no surprise in Limassol where 3rd rankedAEL (6-4) was crushed by top-ranked AEK Larnaca (10-0) 87-62 on Friday. AEK Larnaca looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Jayveous McKinnis (201-1999, college: Ole Miss, agency: JCK Sports Group) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Australian forward Jesse Hunt (203-1997, college: EWU) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Five AEK Larnaca players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Tyrn Flowers (206-1998, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: GSE Worldwide) responded with 29 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Myles Tate (183, college: App State) scored 17 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AEK Larnaca have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-0 record. Loser AEL keeps the third place with four games lost.
