An interesting game for Etha (9-4) which played road game in Paphou against Atlantas (3-10). Third ranked Etha had an easy win 81-49. Etha dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Atlantas' 34. Etha players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Atlantas' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American center DaJah Daniel (193-1998, college: GCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international point guard Rebecca Christodoulou (170-2002) who added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Etha's coach Takis Mirallais felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center DaJah Daniel (193-1998, college: GCU) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international point guard Rebecca Christodoulou (170-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Etha have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Etha maintains third position with 9-4 record having just two points less than leader AEL. Atlantas at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth place with ten games lost. Etha will play against league's second-placed Anagennises in Limassol in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Atlantas will play on the road against ENAD in Nicosia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
