Atlantas has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Nicosia, where they outplayed ENAD (4-8) 67-43 . Atlantas held ENAD to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded ENAD 43-25 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Makayla Andrews (178-2002, college: GWU) nailed 29 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Ioanna Papanikolaou (-2005) accounted for 5 points and 6 rebounds. Atlantas' coach Vasilis Giotopoulos felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international swingman Nikoleta Kontou (170-2003) came up with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Popi Frageskou (172-1987) added 4 points and 11 rebounds respectively for ENAD in the defeat. Newly promoted Atlantas maintains fifth place with 1-5 record. ENAD at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost.
