The game in Nicosia was also quite interesting. Third rankedAEL (11-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Anorthosis (6-10). AEL managed to secure a 4-point victory 93-89 on Saturday. AEL dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Anorthosis ' 24 and made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tyrn Flowers (206-1998, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: GSE Worldwide) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Myles Tate (183, college: App State) who added 12 points and 9 assists during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Jabarie Hinds (180-1992, college: UMass) responded with 26 points and 9 assists and South Sudanese-Australian forward Kuany Kuany (210-2000, college: VCU) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AEL have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-5 record having five points less than leader AEK Larnaca. Anorthosis at the other side dropped to the sixth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Paralimni and Digenis.
