Qualifying Round Round 2: Gernika - Giannena 94-61

Gernika dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Giannena 's 28. It was a great shooting night for Gernika especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. German Sarah Polleros (185-2002) notched 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian power forward Masa Jankovic (187-2000) supported her with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Gernika players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Tyia Singleton (188-1999, college: Ole Miss) did not help to save the game for Giannena . Forward Konstantina Sarigiannidou (180-1990) added 16 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
