We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when PolishSosnowiec won against on the road Czech SBS Ostrava 86-69 on Thursday. Sosnowiec looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American forward Cate Reese (188-1999, college: Arizona) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and her fellow American import guard Sydney Taylor (175-2001, college: Louisville) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Croatian forward Iva Belosevic (185-1997, college: UTRGV) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Aleah Nelson (168-2001, college: Temple) scored 15 points. Four SBS Ostrava players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sosnowiec will meet at home Benfica in the next round. SBS Ostrava will play against Ferrol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
