Mersin outrebounded Rapid 45-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. Mersin looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Lithuanian forward Laura Juskaite (187-1997) stepped up and scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Manolya Kurtulmus (187-1998) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Mersin's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side forward Claudia Cuic (182-1989) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American power forward Stephanie Kostowicz (190-1995, college: Milwaukee) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five Mersin and four Rapid players scored in double figures.
