Mersin looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Kennedy Burke (185-1997, college: UCLA) fired 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Her fellow American import point guard Lindsay Allen (173-1995, college: Notre Dame) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. British-American power forward Kristine Anigwe (193-1997, college: California) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American swingman Robyn Parks (185-1992, college: VCU) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Athinaikos players scored in double figures. Athinaikos' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
