The game had a very big importance for second-rankedMiskolc as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Miskolc smashed one of their biggest challengers Szekszard at home 97-60 . It was a key game for the top position in the league. Miskolc dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Szekszard 's 40. Miskolc looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Veronika Kanyasi (179-1999) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. French center Ana Tadic (197-1998) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Miskolc players scored in double figures. American forward Kathryn Westbeld (190-1996, college: Notre Dame) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Australian guard Marena Whittle (180-1994, college: NDSU) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Szekszard. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with UNI Gyor. Szekszard at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with PEAC-Pecs.
