Very expected game when 7th rankedVasas Akademia (8-8) lost on the road to third ranked Szekszard (13-3) 77-64 on Saturday. The winners were led by American center Kristina Higgins (196-1994, college: Baylor) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Finnish guard Sara Bejedi (170-2000, college: FSU) supported her with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Szekszard players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by American guard Domonique Davis (168, college: Southern Miss) did not help to save the game for Vasas Akademia . Serbian Jovana Boricic (179-2003) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Vasas Akademia's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Szekszard have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-3 record behind leader Miskolc. Vasas Akademia lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with eight games lost.
