Very important is a road loss of third rankedMBA-2 (9-3) against thirteenth ranked Samara-2 (2-10) on Thursday night. Visiting MBA-2 was defeated by Samara-2 in a tough game in Samara 63-72 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of MBA-2. They outrebounded MBA-2 44-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of center Ivan Kasyanov (205-2005) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Egor Amosov (197-2008) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Georgiy Salagaev (200-2005) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and guard Timofey Shikalov (195-2006) added 16 points in the effort for MBA-2. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Samara-2 moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Uralmash-2. MBA-2 at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost.
