There was a minor upset in Moscow where 7th rankedMBA-2 (13-13) was defeated by ninth ranked UMMC Junior (7-19) 75-63 on Saturday. UMMC Junior looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Svetlana Samusheva (173-2004) who scored 18 points and 6 assists. Center Alena Burmakina (194-2004) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Margarita Osmulkevich (180-2004) who recorded 15 points and 4 steals and center Mariya Ushakova (196-2006, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UMMC Junior maintains ninth place with 7-19 record. Loser MBA-2 keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost.
